Every piece is made and stitched by hand. This means the stitching can vary in look from one piece to the next, and even within the same piece. We use machine stitching only for the double cross-stitch, where a piece needs extra strength. The leather, a natural material, can also vary a little in its look. Both are normal for a natural material and for a piece made by hand. It is part of what makes each piece its own.

Made for everyday wear and walking.

This product is intended for everyday walking under normal conditions. Finished product samples have undergone tensile testing by an independent laboratory as part of our product safety assessment.

Choose the correct size based on your dog’s measurements and ensure the product fits securely and comfortably. Always take your dog’s strength, behaviour, activity level and tendency to pull into account.

Inspect the leather, stitching and hardware before each use. Stop using the product immediately if you notice damage, deformation, loose stitching, excessive wear or any change that could affect its strength.

Not intended for:

• Sport or traction activities, such as canicross, bikejöring, skijoring, weight pulling or sledding
• Working or professional applications, such as protection, detection, military or law-enforcement work
• Fixed or unattended restraint, including tethering and tie-outs
• Use as a seat belt, vehicle restraint or travel restraint
• Use as the sole means of control for dogs that repeatedly pull with exceptional force, lunge powerfully or are prone to escape

For these purposes, use equipment specifically designed and rated for the intended application.

Materials

Leather: Smooth calf leather.

Chosen for its soft surface and the way it stays lightweight against a smaller frame. Dyed through, so its colour holds with wear, with a surface that takes daily life in its stride. Our leathers come from tanneries certified to the Leather Working Group Gold standard.

Hardware: Solid brass.

Massive throughout, designed in-house. Naturally hypoallergenic and nickel-free, finished with a protective coating that stands up to the moisture of everyday life, from rain to a companion's drool.

Care

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth for everyday care. For marks that linger, use a slightly damp cloth with the smallest amount of mild soap, working gently from the outside of the mark inward, then let it dry naturally. Avoid alcohol, harsh cleaners and direct heat. An occasional light conditioner keeps the leather supple and the colour even. For the brass, never use metal polish or anything abrasive; the coating is what protects it.
