Products & Materials
Every Studio Camour piece is made from carefully selected leather and solid brass hardware. Across the collection we work with both smooth calf leather and vegetable tanned full grain leather, each chosen for how it performs and ages. You can read about our materials, and how they are made, on our Materials page.
OUR MATERIALS
Vegetable tanning is a traditional, time-honoured way of tanning leather using natural tannins, rather than chemicals such as chrome. It takes longer and asks for more skill, and it gives the leather a natural surface that develops a rich patina over the years. You can read more on our Materials page.
OUR MATERIALS
Every piece of hardware is solid brass, massive all the way through. It carries real strength where a piece is tested most, at the clasp, the buckle, the points that bear the daily pull of a companion. Brass is naturally resilient, and we finish ours with a protective coating made to stand up to the moisture of everyday life, from rain to a companion's drool, so the surface keeps its look over time. It is naturally hypoallergenic and nickel-free, gentle against skin and fur, and it holds a weight in the hand that speaks for the brass it is made of. Every buckle, hook and plate is designed by us from the ground up. You can read more on our Materials page.
OUR MATERIALS
Yes, and that is part of its beauty. Real leather lives with you. Vegetable tanned full grain leather is made to develop a patina, deepening and softening with use, so it carries the marks of your life together. Smooth calf leather keeps its refined surface and wears more evenly. With a little care, leather is made to be lived in.
PRODUCT CARE
Because it is real, natural leather. Small variations in grain, tone and texture are part of its character, no two hides are exactly alike, and these subtle differences are a mark of authenticity, not a flaw. They are part of what makes your piece your own. You can read more on our Materials page.
OUR MATERIALS
Because every piece is made and stitched by hand. The look of the stitching can vary a little from one piece to the next, and even within the same piece. We use machine stitching only for the double cross-stitch at the points under the most strain, where a piece needs extra strength. These small differences are normal in work made by hand, not a flaw, and part of what makes your piece your own.
BEHIND OUR CRAFT
Yes, and each is made to stand on its own. Every collection is designed as one family, sharing the same leather, hardware and considered detail, so you are welcome to choose a single piece, or bring them together over time.
THE KINDRED COLLECTION
Sizing & Fit
Take a soft tape measure, or a piece of string you can lay flat afterwards, and measure around the base of your dog's neck where the collar will sit. Keep it snug but comfortable, leaving room to slip two fingers underneath. Note that number down, and compare it to the size guide on the piece you have in mind.
Our harness rests on the shoulders and sits behind the front legs, so two measurements matter. First, the chest: measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Second, the neck: this sits around the lower neck, closer to where the shoulders sit, not where a collar would sit higher up (see the product picture). Keep the tape snug but comfortable for both, with room for two fingers. Compare your measurements to the size guide on the product page.
Choose the size using the measurements shown in the size guide on the relevant product page. Because each design fits a little differently, the guide lives with the piece itself, so the information shown is specific to the product you are looking at. Measure your dog carefully, compare the measurements with the guide, and if you would like a second opinion, we are always happy to help.
It depends on the piece.
For collars, we generally recommend the larger size, as long as it still adjusts to a secure and comfortable fit. A little more room to adjust is usually better than a collar that sits too small.
For harnesses, there is no general rule to size up. A good fit follows both the neck and the chest measurement, sits securely without shifting, and leaves full freedom to move. If your dog is between two sizes, choose the one that fits best across both measurements.
In both cases, your dog's build, coat thickness and preferred fit all play a part. If you are unsure, we are always happy to help you find the right fit.
Both have their place, and many companions wear both. A collar sits at the neck and is the everyday classic, simple to put on and well suited to dogs who walk calmly beside you. A harness rests across the chest and shoulders rather than the neck, spreading any pressure more evenly, which many people prefer for walks, for smaller or more delicate breeds, or for dogs who tend to pull. The choice depends on your companion, and our pieces are made to work beautifully together.
They can be, with one thing to keep in mind: puppies grow, and our pieces come in set sizes with room to adjust rather than growing with your dog. We would measure your puppy as they are now, choose by those measurements, and plan to move to a new size as they grow. If you are unsure, we are glad to help.
Product Care
Leather lasts longest with a little gentle care. Keep it away from prolonged moisture where you can, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, and let it dry naturally if it does get wet. For the full guidance, including how to care for each of our leathers, see our Product Care page.
PRODUCT CARE
A little rain is no cause for worry. If a piece does get wet, simply wipe it with a soft cloth and let it dry naturally, away from direct heat. We would avoid prolonged soaking, but everyday weather is part of a life well lived. You will find more on our Product Care page.
PRODUCT CARE
Wipe the brass gently with a soft, dry cloth. There is no need to polish it, the protective finish is made to keep it looking its best with very little effort. More guidance is on our Product Care page.
PRODUCT CARE
When a piece is not in use, keep it in its dust bag, away from direct sunlight and damp. This keeps the leather and hardware at their best between adventures.

About Us
Studio Camour is a European luxury brand for dogs and the people beside them, born in Milan and based there. We create handcrafted leather pieces, from collars, harnesses and leashes to accessories made to be carried by you, all crafted in Italy from carefully selected leather and solid brass. Every piece is designed for two: the companion who wears it, and the person who chooses it.
ABOUT US
The brand's name brings together two words: canine and amour, dog and love. Camour was created for a feeling that did not have a word yet, the love that runs both ways between a person and their companion. Studio is where that feeling takes form, in pieces made with the bond in mind.
ABOUT US
Studio Camour is built on a single idea: that a piece should serve both the companion who wears it and the person who chooses it, with nothing lost on either side. Comfort and security for one, beauty and considered design for the other, held to one standard.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Studio Camour is for people who care about quality and design, and who carry that same standard to their companion. People who appreciate genuine craftsmanship and want pieces that are made well and made to last. A collar or a leash is worn by your dog, but it is also yours, held in your hand, part of your daily life and your eye for the things you keep close. So it should feel right on both ends: comfortable and safe for your companion, beautiful and considered for you. Made for companions of every size, from smaller to larger breeds.
EXPLORE OUR PIECES
Studio Camour is built on European craftsmanship, a way of working refined across generations, and a commitment to doing things properly in every detail. We work with a carefully selected network of European partners, chosen for shared values and a real commitment to quality and ethical practice, and we work closely with them, visiting often and developing every detail together.
The Kindred Collection is handcrafted in Italy. Every piece is made from carefully selected leather and finished by hand, with solid brass hardware that we design ourselves, in house, from the proportions to the way each hook and buckle works. Every detail is made to our own standard, so each piece carries the same considered design throughout.
THE KINDRED COLLECTION
Yes. One design language, adapted to companions of every size. Each piece is made in the size and the leather best suited to your companion: a smooth, soft calf leather for smaller breeds, and a vegetable tanned full grain leather for larger ones, chosen for its strength and the way it ages. Whatever the size, the design, the care and the standard are the same.
PIECES FOR SMALLER BREEDS
PIECES FOR LARGER BREEDS
It is the idea at the heart of everything we make: every piece has two it is made for, the companion who wears it, and the person who chooses it. One should feel comfortable and secure, the other should feel something beautiful. You can read more on our Philosophy page.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe the most responsible thing we can make is something that lasts. Our pieces are built to be lived in for a long time, our leathers come from tanneries certified to the Leather Working Group Gold standard, and our vegetable tanned leather is made in the traditional way. You can read more on our Materials page.

Gift Cards & Gifting
Yes. A Studio Camour gift card is digital, sent by email, and a way to give someone the freedom to choose what feels right, for their companion and for themselves.
DIGITAL GIFT CARDS
The Studio Camour Gift Card is digital. It arrives by email with a unique code and simple instructions for the person who receives it.
DIGITAL GIFT CARDS
At checkout on studiocamour.com. The recipient enters the code, and its value is applied to their order. The gift card can be redeemed only at studiocamour.com.
The gift card is valid until 31 December of the third year after the year of purchase, so always for at least three full years. The exact date is stated in the gift card email, and any remaining balance stays available until then.
Both are simple. If your order comes to less, the remaining balance stays on the card and can be used on a future order until it is spent. If it comes to more, you simply pay the difference at checkout with any of our payment methods.
They do. Every piece arrives our signature packaging. A Studio Camour gift is a beautiful way to welcome a new companion or celebrate one already loved. If you would like to let the recipient choose, a gift card is a thoughtful way to do it.

You can read the full conditions on our Returns page.

Once we have received and checked your returned piece, we will refund you to your original payment method. Refunds are issued within 14 days, in line with your statutory rights.
RETURNS
Of course, the right fit matters. The simplest way is to return the piece within your withdrawal period and place a new order for the size you need, so your companion is not left waiting. If you are unsure which size to choose, write to us first at support@studio-camour.com and we will help you find the right fit.
That should never happen, and if it does, we will make it right. Write to us at support@studio-camour.com with your order number and a photo of the piece, a description of the damage,, and we will take care of the rest. Your statutory warranty rights apply in full, and a damaged or faulty piece is always our responsibility, not yours.
